  • From Bradbury’s Future

Today is August 4th, 2026. Ray Bradbury imagined this date in his 1950 short story, called There Will Come Soft Rains. To celebrate this story and the writer behind it, I wrote an essay and a companion short story that continues the literary conversation Bradbury began 76 years ago.

  • July Monthly Update

    July 2026 Recap

    July was a wild ride.

I launched a website and a Substack. I began publishing my microfiction serial, The Catalyst Archives, and have kept it going every week. I also completed a 100-word story for Writing Battle (I’ll share it once the results are in) and, fingers crossed, finished an essay and companion short story that will be released in early August.

This month has been filled with beginnings, equal parts terrifying and rewarding. I am looking forward to learning and growing more within these new chapters.

Looking ahead, I plan to spend more time on The Author’s Least Favorite, get a few short stories polished and ready for submission, and start collecting some rejection letters.

    Until the next adventure,

    —T.L. Andra

    Archive Notice 001

    ═══════════════════════

While preparing for an upcoming 100-word writing competition, I began working on a project practicing microfiction that quickly became more than just practice.

It started as a continuous log following the captain of a spaceship named The Catalyst, quietly documenting humanity’s journey beyond our solar system. As I kept writing, the story grew to include transmissions from Earth, conversations with the ship’s AI, AutoPilot Vega, and the small moments that shape life on an extraordinary voyage.

Writing microfiction has been both a challenge, but also a lot of fun, and I’m excited to finally share it with you.

The Catalyst Archives is a micro serial fiction. You can follow the mission as new records are released on my Substack every Monday starting July 20th. As it stands, the first season will consist of 22 episodes, and I’m already finding myself sketching ideas for Act Two.

    Until the next adventure,

    —T.L. Andra

    END OF NOTICE

  • Welcome Traveler!

    Thank you for stopping by.

For years, I have created stories, and I have always wanted to share them with the world. They’ve lived in Google Docs, notebooks, and overstuffed folders. Some have found their way to the stage, and others have been in competitions. The others are growing and waiting for their time to shine.

This website is a new chapter for me. It’s a place where I can gather these stories, share the ones I am working on, and invite others along for the journey. Along the way, you’ll find updates on projects, glimpses behind the scenes, and, a little bit of wonder.

I’ve always believed the best stories are the ones that leave us with more than an ending. They leave us with memories of our favorite characters, thoughts of unforgettable places or maybe even just a feeling that travels with us long after “The End”.

Whether you are just stopping by, or planning to stay a while, I am happy you are here.

    Until the next adventure,
    — T.L. Andra
